Description
Normally, the USB hardware for imon pad and the SoundGraph ir receiver should show as follows in /dev/input/by-id/
usb-15c2 0038-event-if00
usb-15c2 0038-event-mouse
usb-15c2 0038-mouse
Newer versions of LinHES do not show the line with "if00" but do show the other two lines with "mouse." This causes problems getting the remote to work.
For testing purposes, I have booted off the DVD images for recent versions of LinHES on my DVR. I have confirmed that version 8.5.1 shows if00 properly. 8.5.2 and 8.6.1 do NOT show "if00" but do show the "mouse" lines. For clarification, I'm only booting off the DVD and pulling up a terminal window to check /dev/input/by-id/ so I'm not actually going through the installation process.
I also have a full installation of 8.6.1 with all updates on my DVR. This does not show "if00". I'm not sure sure how to make it show up, but there appears to have been a change from 8.5.1 to 8.5.2/8.6.1 that is causing the "if00" line not to show.

I just remembered that I submitted this years ago. I believe the problem was mainly user error. I did get it to work with the default installation process.
It's OK to close or canel this entry.
Thanks for the work on LinHES!
