Description
pacman -Syu is broken in 6.00.06 for systems which require the older nvidia drivers. This is because the mythtv package has apparently been superseded by the mythtv-vdpau package which requires the beta drivers which do not work with older cards. The bug is in the current state of the package repository rather than the ISO.

MythTV hasn't been superseded. If asked, and you don't have a VDPAU capable card, you shouldn't asked yes to mythtv-vdpau.

I'll try this when I get 6.00.06 installed again, but I was literally just trying to run "pacman -Syu" after a fresh install when I encountered this. No matter how much I tried to restrict it the upgrade process kept trying to replace these core components.

Ah, I see you have to refuse mythtv-vdpau. Must have been a bit to brain fried last night. We're probably going to have to document stuff like this later, but for now I'm closing this.
