Description
A recent (in the past 72 hrs) upgrade via pacman -Syu unconfigured my serial port ir blaster on my mbe and unconfigured my serial port ir receiver on a frontend. The mbe had lircd taken out of /etc/sv so it would not start and it appears the /usr/bin/chan_change.sh script was overwritten with a "clean" version ("remote=none" was the issue there). On the fe, /etc/lircd.conf was overwritten with an empty file.
The xorg.conf on the mbe was overwritten with a "clean" version. I need a server flag set so I can use the keyboard after starting X, but it was no longer there. See task #167 for what I mean.

Also, HAL daemon was not running, but I recall it running before.
