no audio using Firefox and OSS drivers

Description
The OSS audio analog drivers are great and work well with my Intel DQ35JO board. Except that with Firefox the audio is silent. ALSA audio drivers work fine under all situations but clearly sound inferior to the OSS drivers. Any guidance on a solution?

I had to install another package to get audio working with Firefox and OSS. I think it was called alsa-oss? but been awhile since I had to install it.
If you are using Firefox 3.5, then you need xulrunner-oss.
